Hi, I’m
Fraser Porter

I’m a 22 year-old journalist from Edinburgh, Scotland with over 6 years of experience in the industry alongside a degree in Journalism from Edinburgh Napier University.
I specialise in broadcast media, with an emphasis on television production, behind-the-scenes and in-front of camera presenting. In this medium I have created numerous TV packages, features and news, alongside a 10 minute documentary on my specialised niche – professional wrestling. Through university I have gathered skills in presenting to camera, directing a team of people to produce a finished news programme and I have become a proficient video editor.
Outside of the TV medium I have also produced and presented a number of podcasts and radio shows for audio distribution, working as the studio manager and technical support for the university radio station. I was the host of the morning show for Radio ENRG and co-host on the show ‘Nerd Culture’ where I discussed all things nerdy and geek.

Despite the specialisation in broadcast media I do also have experience in written work and digital online media. I have written for three magazines focusing on my niche specialisation and worked as a freelance editor for one. Not only that but I have been working part-time for the past two years as the community manager of the online company and YouTube channel, Cultaholic. This came from my work experience with them back in 2018.
My niche specialty is professional wrestling, having grown up a fan of the industry and the sport/entertainment from a young age I have desired to work in the industry in some aspect. With this I have worked and produced content for a variety of different publishers in the field in numerous different roles. Currently operating as a social media and community manager. I have appeared on camera presenting short form news videos, long form podcasts and have written work published online all regarding this topic.
